Biologist with a Master's and PhD in Microbiology, Post-Doctorate in Environmental Bioprocesses, currently Research Professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Puebla Campus. Member of the National System of Level I Researchers, Biology and Chemistry Area. Distinguished Professor 2021, 2022 and Inspirational Professor 2022, as well as other recognitions including the UANL Research Award in the Natural Sciences category (2012), Magna Cum Laude in the Doctorate (2013) and Honorable Mentions in Master's (2007) and Bachelor's Degree (2003).
His main lines of research are the isolation and characterization of microorganisms with potential application in the biotechnological industry and water treatment, use of agro-industrial waste to mitigate its environmental impact and obtaining value-added products, as well as toxicological studies and bioremediation of micro-organisms. contaminants present in water.
He also has more than 15 years of experience in molecular biology and genetic engineering for the study of gene expression, synthetic biology, and production of recombinant proteins for biotechnological applications.
