He is a Civil Engineer from the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo. He has a Master of Science in Environmental Systems and a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, both in the line of research on Sustainable Use of Water. Currently, he is a member of the National System of Researchers level 1. He has been a postgraduate professor at the National University of Trujillo (Peru) and at the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo. He has participated in different consulting projects related to the management and quality monitoring of surface and groundwater resources, as well as modeling of coastal aquifers.
Since 2021 he has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Environmental Geoprocesses Group and is part of the Research Group with a Strategic Focus on Water Science and Technology of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. His main lines of research are water resources management, isotope hydrology, aquifer modeling and machine learning.
