Héctor Civil and Hydraulic Engineer with a PhD in numerical modeling and fluid mechanics from Aix-Marseille Université, France. Experience of more than 20 years in research projects and consultancy in computational fluid dynamics and dispersion of pollutants in shallow water bodies; mass transfer and heat flow in gases; and environmental indicators.
He is currently National Director of the Civil Engineering Program and research professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has authored and co-authored various scientific articles in international journals and book chapters. He was a member of the National System of CONACYT Researchers Level 1, until 2021.
For his teaching work, he has received different recognitions as a professor with high recommendation 2020 and 2021, appointment as associate professor 2018, award for the best paper at ICELET 2020, invitations to participate in competition Committees and Juries, in addition to having a patent of co-authored invention
