Graduated in Chemistry from the Simón Bolívar University, Caracas, Venezuela and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. From April 2003 to November 2010, I performed functions as Head of the physicochemical laboratory at the Guayana Hydrobiological Research Station of the La Salle Natural Sciences Foundation, Venezuela. As of January 2012, he worked as an associate researcher at the Center for Oceanology and Antarctic Studies of the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) in Caracas, Venezuela, being scientific coordinator of the V and VII Venezuelan scientific expedition to the Antarctic continent. Between 2014 and 2015 he worked as a Prometeo Level II Researcher at the National University of Loja (Ecuador). Starting in 2016, he worked as a Post-doctoral fellow at the Water Center for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico. Since January 2020, he has been a Research Professor at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education at the Puebla Campus, specifically in the focus group on Water Sciences and Technology. He has 43 scientific articles published in journals indexed in Scopus, 4 book chapters and has an h-index of 14. Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of Mexico Level I. Member of the editorial committee of the Journal of Aquatic Pollution and Toxicology” and Guest Editor of the Journal “Current Opinion in Environmental Science and Health” (Elsevier).
